'DEFINITELY TO BE READ / SPOKEN' CHARACTERISTICS - KHANDITA VACHYA LAKSHANA

IN THIS CHAPTER OF 'KHANDITHA VACHYA LAKSHANA'
CHIDANANDA AVADHUTHA DENOUNCES WORSHIP OF
STATUES OUTSIDE US, WHEN THERE IS 'ATHMA' WHICH
IS FORMLESS BRAHMAN INSIDE US.

EVERY PARTICLE IN THIS WORLD IS NOTHING BUT
BRAHMAN, HENCE WE ARE ALSO BRAHMAN,KNOWING
THIS, WHY WE SHOULD THINK OF A GOD OUTSIDE US
AS STATUES, GIVING THEM DIFFERENT SHAPES ?

AS LONG AS WE THINK, GOD IS OUTSIDE US, WE
CANNOT OVERCOME FEAR COMPLEX WHICH SHOULD
NOT BE THERE IN AN ASPIRANT OF SPIRITUALITY.

IF KUNDALINI JAGRITI(AWAKENING) TAKES PLACE,
SUCH A PERSON NATURALLY SETTLES IN FORMLESS
ATHMA & WILL NOT DEPEND ON OUTSIDE STATUES
& RITUAL WORSHIP OF THEM. IN THIS STATE, OUTSIDE
WORLD VANISHES, MINDLESS STATE REACHED, BODY
IS FROSEN,HENCE HE CANNOT CARRYOUT RITUALISTIC
PUJAS TO STATUES.

FOLLOWING RAJA YOGA DHYANA SADHANA, ALONG
WITH JNANA, MAKING PROGRESS THIS WAY &
CUTTING  DOWN STATUE RITUAL PUJA AS PROGRESS
TAKES PLACE IS THE BEST WAY !

"AHAM BRAHMA ASMI' OR 'TAT TWAM ASI' - I AM ATHMA
WHICH IS BRAHMAN SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT IN MIND
& FOLLOWED ACCORDINGLY !

'DEFINITELY TO BE READ / SPOKEN' CHARACTERISTICS -
(KHANDITA VACHYA LAKSHANA PRAKARANA)

Parameshwara teaching Shanmuga

'Parameshwara teaching Shanmuga' postings are based on
'Jnana Sindhu' writings of great CHIDANANDA AVADHUTHA
of very high spiritual level based on VEDANTHA
(UPANISHATHS). He had given the copy of the book to the
parents of a future Avadhutha even before the baby was
born, telling parents Goddess will take birth as their son &
to give the book to the boy when he would be twelve
year old, who is destined to become an Avadhutha by name
AJATHA NAGALINGA SWAMY at NAVALAGUNDHA
in north Karnataka.

Shanmukha told Parameshwara --

Shanmukha with folded hands requested Hara to explain
Khandita Vachya Lakshana ie,'Definitely to be
read / Spoken' Characteristics.

Parameshwara told Shanmuka--

My child ! This Khandita Vachya Lakshana ie,
'Definitely to be read / Spoken' Characteristics for those with
knowledge is like elixir, for ignorant it is unbearable.By this,
sorrows of world get destroyed & happiness of high level
get generated.

Jaggery & (its sweet) taste are two words, same way
attributes(saguna) & without attributes(nirguna) are only
different words without differentiation, practically they are
one & the same. Jaggery is with attributes & its taste is
without attributes, after knowing this, including body,
thinking as Brahman is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

Solid ghee - melted ghee, fire - flame, fragrance powder -
fragrance, sun - its rays, flower - its fragrance, knowing
that there is no difference between them, 'I' am with
characteristics(saguna), my name is without characteristics
(nirguna) & being like one king for the whole as Brahman
is 'definitely to be read / spoken' Characteristics.

Dog of the house is better than God's idol of the house,
because when thief is stealing the God's idols, dog barked
& woke me up , but God who was offered food(neivedya)
did not wake me up. If you want to carry idols to other
places we feel as if our neck is breaking due to strain.
Instead of God's idols of the house, if we have utensils
for cooking, they are more useful in preparation of food etc.
What is the use of these toy like God's idols ? (Idol worship
has been condemned in Pure Advaitha Philosophy)

In our heart there is self luminous Athma, which we forget
& instead we worship idols made of wood, stone, metal, soil
of earth, which is not good, just like a person having cooked
tasty rice in his house, goes begging for food to other
houses !. Knowing this, one has to worship his own Athma
is 'definitely to be read / spoken' Characteristics(khanditha
vachya).

When people partake food, they recite " Eko Vishnu"
meaning "only one Lord Vishnu' who is Maha Bhutha
(Great Elements),creater of worlds, who is infinite, such
Lord Vishnu who is in Three Lokas as Main Elements
is partaking food. Knowing this meaning, eating & thinking,
'I am Lord Vishnu' is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

People carryout japa,sitting in posture(asana) & meditate
on God's statue, forgetting Paramathma in their heart.
Knowing this, thinking 'I am Brahman' is 'definitely to be
read / spoken' Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

Carrying out digbhandana(control of eight directions),
practicing yoga question yourself 'Who am I ?',
realizing worship of statue is ignorance & doing
'Athma Dhyana' is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

By getting taught(upadesha) Gayathri Mantra, one thinks
he is Brahmin, in reality he is not knowing the true meaning
of Gayathri Mantra. Meaning of 'TAT TWAM ASI'(one of the
Maha Veda Vakyas meaning 'THOU ART THAT') is same as
Gayathri Mantra, so pundits say. Without knowing this,
doing pooja of satue is ignorance, believing thus is 'definitely
to be read / spoken' Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

During Sandhya Vandana(prayer at the time of sun rise
& sun set) reciting 'asavadithyo Brahma' mantra they pour
water around them. Really without knowing the meaning of
this mantra, thinking there is no use of pouring water &
doing worship of statue is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

'Lord Vishnu is this world, this world is Lord Vishnu' knowing
this we come to know there is no difference between Lord
Vishnu & this world. So when everything is Vishnu, 'I am also
Vishnu' thinking thus, imagining a different outside Vishnu
is ignorance, thus knowing is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya)..

In whichever direction you see, there is nothing else other
than me, believing thus is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

During Sandhya Vandana they tell," Papa Purusha visarjana
viniyoga"(discarding sinful person / jiva status) "I have
forgotten myself, hence I am sinful person, is it not ?"--without
knowing this, how discarding of sinful person can take place.

Believing Saligrama(auspicious stone from Gandaki River of
Nepal with different shapes on it created by an insect, with or
without gold streak on it) to be Lord Vishnu reciting from
Purusha Suktha, they do abhisheka(pouring Holy water), 'when
I myself is Purusha' to whom you are doing abhisheka, is it not
madness ?

Chanting Rudra Suktha they do abhisheka to Lord Shiva, that
Rudra Suktha is all pervading Lord Shankara, forgetting to tell
this, doing Puja to Shiva Linga, is it not wrong illusion due to
ignorance ?

People chant Lord Narayana stotra, producing sound from
mouth(without grasping its meaning) which says,"Anthar
bahirscha tat sarvam vyapya Narayana stitha" which means
inside, outside & in all pervades Lord Narayana only.
Knowing this, forgetting "I am only Hari" is it not height of
dullardness ?

In Shruthi it is told,"Aham Rudram", after knowing this,
forgetting oneself, calling statues made out of stone as
'GOD' is it not height of ignorance ?

" Sarvam Vishnumayam Jagath" thus says Shruthi, meaning
'I am Vishnu' is it not ?

Statues which are like toys, after doing 'Prana prathistapana'
& thinking them as GOD, will they be able to carryout activities
like walking, talking etc.? When food is in abundance they
create many shapes of Gods, when there is shortage of food
during droughts, they think,"How to fill my stomach ? what is
the solution ?' Understanding this, thinking "I am God' is
'definitely to be read / spoken' Characteristics(khanditha vachya)..

Ignoring we are only pure ATHMA which manifests in our
Hridaya(Spiritual heart), praying to statues is ignorance.
There is no other God other than my Athma, thinking thus we
have to carryout bathing,adoring,gandha(sandalwood paste),
akshatha(rice smeared with turmeric),flower, beetle nut with
leaves(thambula),fragrant smoke(dhupa),offering of cooked
rice(nyvedya) one has to perform oneself with Advaitha Bhava,
eating food,meals,sleeping,charity,using senses,posture,
movement etc.to be carried out thinking oneself as Brahman.
When there is Paramathma inside me, there is no room to
pray 'other' gods, understanding this is 'definitely to be read /
spoken' Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

One who does puja to statue is the worst(adhama)
One who does Japa Stotra(recting in mind) is medium
(madhyama)
One who prays(dhyana) to Brahman(Athma) in heart is the
best(uttama)

One who prays to Rama outside to statue is worst(adhama)
One who prays in his heart is medium(madhyama)
One who is living as Athma-Rama is the best(uttama)

One who thinks he is the body is the worst(adhama)
One who thinks he is Jiva is medium(madhyama)
One who thinks 'I am Athma' is the best(uttama)

One who follows family traditions is the worst(adhama)
One who follows Vedas is medium(madhyama)
One who follows Vedantha is the best(uttama)

One who serves man is the worst(adhama)
One who serves God is medium(madhyama)
One who thinks he is Athma & serves himself is best(uttama)

One who has fear of Actions is the worst(adhama)
One who has fear of Bhakti is medium(madhyama)
One who has fear of Jnana is best(uttama)

One who gets many births is worst(adhama)
One who gets liberation after few births is medium(madhyama)
One who gets liberation in only one birth is best(uttama)

One who says 'I suffered due to difficulty' is the worst(adhama)
One who says 'I was able to bear the difficulty' is medium
                                                                             (madhyama)
One who did not think he is facing difficulty, while facing
                                                          difficulty is best(uttama)

One who is doing japa, homa etc.is the worst(adhama)
One who is remaining in Dhyana is medium(madhyama)
One who is merging(Mind in Athma) in Brahman is the
best(uttama)

One who follows Karma thinks of caste.
One who is better than the above thinks of Bhakti.
One who is Jnani thinks of he is Athma.

One who does puja to lifeless statues is worst of the worst
                                                                  (adhmadhama)

Fruit of one crore pujas is Stotra(chanting of slokas loudly)
Fruit of one crore Stotras is Japa(repetition of nama in mind)
Fruit of one crore Japas is Dhyana(concentration of mind on
Athma)
Fruit of one crore Dhynas is Laya(merging of mind in Athma)
After achieving this Laya Yoga, becoming undivided, one
Brahman is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

You have to become free from the following --
1) Kama,Krodha,Lobha,Moha,Mada,Mathsarya --Six Enemies
2) Ishana Thraya - Desire for Wealth, Wife & Son
3) Thapa thraya - Adi bhouthika - suffering due to body,
Adi Deivika- suffering due to external sources
                                            like fire,water,drought,accident etc.
Adi Manasika - suffering due to mind, like
                                                 shortage of money,family
                                                  problems,illness etc.
4) Sadness(vyasana)
5) Attachment(pasha)
6) Difference of Jiva(under Maya), Ishwara(creater of Maya)

Being beyond - Body,Mind,Senses, prana, forgetting Bhavas
(feelings due to mental thought form) of Body, Jiva, Ishwara,
without doubts, being in highest level of peace is 'definitely
to be read / spoken' Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

If you are not like the above, due to outward movement of mind,
you will not achieve liberation.By practicing nija(real)-samadhi
all impurities in the mind should get cleaned. If your mind
wanders outward even for a moment from the thought of
Brahman, you get involved in worldly pleasures & strength of
Athma support gets weakened. Without continuous Athma
Dhyana, however great Pundith you may be,strength of mind
(Mano-bala) gets reduced, desire for worldly pleasures &
anger increases,

If you think I am Jnani, my body & mind can indulge in worldly
pleasures, as a ship submerges in sea in no time, you will be
in the worst state, loosing control of your mind. Knowing this
experiencing Brahman is 'definitely to be read / spoken'
Characteristics(khanditha vachya).

One who does puja to statues made out of soil, stone, wood
etc.is an ignorant person.
One who talks of 'big','small' & prays is medium(madhyama)
One who does not think 'more' or 'less' is the best(uttama)

One who is interested in family(samsara) is a wasted
human birth. Happiness of family is nothing but sorrow,
unhappiness. enjoyment of family is disease, family is heap
of sins,hurdle for real happiness.

A flower is comparable to Saguna Brahman & its fragrance is
comparable to Nirguna Brahman. Experiencing flower,
fragrance in two ways is limitation(upadhi). When this limitation
is destroyed, there is no difference between flower & fragrance,
same way understanding no difference between saguna,
nirguna Brahman is Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

My Child !, you become Saguna Brahman & attain Nirvikalpa
Samadhi. Inner vision only is Nirguna Brahman, little outward
vision is Saguna Brahman. When Raja Yoga sadhana gets
ripened resulting in Samadhi is Nirvikalpa Samadhi. Forgetting
that Nirvikalpa Samadhi is remaining in the same state
(Thatastha Lakshana).

One can follow Saguna Upasana(God with form Sadhana)
through Bhakthi Yoga. For Nirguna Upasana(God without
form Sadhana) one has to follow Raja Yoga. Witness to this
Raja Yoga is Thuryathitha Brahman(highest state of Bliss).
Imagining God with form, when that form goes away you are
able to experience God without form, which is
Shuddha(pure) Brahman. Astanga Yogas, lakhs & lakhs of
other sadhanas(practices) are imaginations only. Depending
on these imaginations only you have to achieve Formless God.

Yogas are wild imaginations of mind at its worst.
Raja Yoga which is witness to the practice of Yoga is better.
Brahman is higher than Yoga.
Highest of all is Thuryathitha(Highest Bliss,in this state even
the thought 'I am Brahman' also vanishes).

Experiencing & practice of Formless God is best.
Practicing(upasana) on God with Form is medium.
When you do Sadhana as Brahman, you become
Formless Whole(Purna) Brahman.
This body which is born due to karmas(actions) of previous
births, resulting Prarabhda Karmas to be handed over to
the Body & when you remain as Brahman, there is no rebirth.

'I am Brahman' thus preaches Sankya Philosophy.
Seeing by memory 'Brahma Kala' is Tharaka(highest level).
Achieving Destruction of one's Mind is Amanaska(Mano Nasha,
Mindless State).
That which pervades everything is Sath(without beginning
or end)
That which is seen is Chith(consciousness, knowledge)
Witness to the above two is Ananda(Happiness,Bliss)
That Sachidananda thing is 'You are'
My Child ! People call this as Khanditha Vachya !
There is nothing equivalent to this.
This is to be kept secret & should not be publicized.
This should not be heard by bad people.
You understand this by analysis, discrimination in your mind.
This should not be told to bad people without character.

When Lord Shankara told this, Shanmukha became very
Happy, prayed to the lotus feet of Lord Shankara !
